Bruce Lee Bruce attended Victoria College at the University of Toronto and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970. He then attended Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, receiving his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1973. He was called to the bar of Ontario in 1975. He is a member of the Waterloo Law and Canadian Bar Associations, the Advocates’ Society, the ADR Institute of Ontario, Inc. (Mediator Member), and the Conflict Resolution Network Canada. A substantial portion of Bruce's law practice involves various types of civil litigation, with emphasis on personal injury matters. His practice includes motor vehicle, occupiers’ liability, products liability, professional negligence, municipal liability, environmental liability, employment law, administrative, insolvency, landlord and tenant, insurance and other commercial litigation. He also frequently acts as a mediator. Bruce also has experience in handling a variety of corporate-commercial matters, including the negotiating and drafting of various types of agreements, franchise work, real estate transactions, general corporate-commercial advice, wills and estates, and transactions involving the purchase and sale of shares and assets. He appears in the peer review publications, Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada. Bruce has served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Kitchener Power Corp. and Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Inc. in 2004 and 2005, and of Atria Networks Inc. from 2006 through 2008, and he serves as an advisor to the board of Atria Networks LP. He is a community representative on the Governance Committee of the board of Grand River Hospital, and serves as a member of the Governance Committee of the board of Westmount Golf and Country Club. In past years, Bruce was involved with the Kitchener-Waterloo Jaycees, participated as a manager and coach in the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, and was Chair of the Official Board of Trinity United Church. |

Milena Protich Milena attended the University of Toronto and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971. From 1974 to 1980 Milena was employed in a number of progressively more senior positions in the land development industry. She completed her Law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983. She was the recipient of the Ivan C. Rand Award in Constitutional Law and the McCarthy and McCarthy prize and received an award as the second place oralist in the Niagara Cup International Law Moot. She obtained her Master of Laws at the London School of Economics in 1984. She was called to the bar in Ontario in 1986. Milena’s practice involves varied litigation before civil and criminal courts and administrative tribunals. She has extensive experience in municipal, planning and environmental law as well as the law of charities and non-profit organizations. Milena also has experience in corporate commercial law in both the domestic and international trade context, and has also provided assistance to businesses in immigration matters regarding foreign worker recruitment. She has published papers in the areas of municipal, administrative and charitable/non-profit law. Milena is a member of the Waterloo Law and Canadian Bar Associations, the Serbian Bar Association of America, the Women’s Law Association, and the Church Law Association of Canada. She is a member of the Executive of the CBAO Municipal Law Section and the CBA Charities Law Section. Milena is actively involved in her community. She is currently on the Board of Directors of Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Inc. In 1997 she was honoured by the Law Society and awarded the Bi-Centennial Award of Merit for her volunteer activities in the community. In 2007 she was awarded a Woman of Distinction Award by the Cambridge YMCA. She is the past Chancellor of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Canada. |

Mark Lee Mark obtained his Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Western Ontario in 1996 and was named to the Dean’s Honour List. He then attended the University of Windsor, receiving his Law degree in 1999. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 2001. Mark is a member of the Waterloo Law and Canadian Bar Associations. Mark has been involved in a wide variety of legal matters in his first decade of practice, and has developed expertise in civil litigation, personal injury, insurance law, business and real estate law, wills, trusts and estates, and employment law. He took a secondment, in the summer of 2007, to act as Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Kitchener Legal Department, where he provided legal services in various areas of law, including municipal and administrative law, risk management, occupier’s liability and other civil litigation. He reported to the City Solicitor and advised City Council and numerous committees and departments on a variety of issues. Mark has participated as a certified coach in the Waterloo Minor Hockey Association, and is a member of Westmount Golf and Country Club. |
